Should I use a seat protector under my Nuna Rava to protect the vehicle seat?

No, it is not recommended to use a vehicle seat protector. The RAVA was designed with a smooth seat back and seat bottom, so using a vehicle seat protector is not necessary. Nuna does not recommend using any products or accessories that are not approved by Nuna. Adding a product or accessory could alter the effectiveness or performance of the RAVA if ever involved in a crash. We do not recommend placing any seat protector or other item under your RAVA.

What if my Nuna Rava is involved in a crash? Should I replace it?

  1. Whenever a crash takes place, you should always ensure that your insurance agent is aware that your car seat was involved so they can replace it through your claim.
  2. NHTSA Guidelines: NHTSA recommends that car seats be replaced following a moderate or severe crash in order to ensure a continued high level of crash protection for child passengers. Car seats do not automatically need to be replaced following a minor crash. View the actual NHTSA Guidelines here.
